The Undergraduate Section Coordination Office takes care of everything directly related to all undergraduate courses at the Center for Theology and the Humanities, its faculty and students, as well as the various professional qualifications offered by its seven departments. Its work is both academic and administrative, mainly supporting the undergraduate coordinators of the departments that make up the CTCH.
It also aims to encourage department faculty and students to participate in academic reflections on the teaching of the humanities at PUC-Rio and in interdisciplinary research on teaching and learning that addresses the complexity of the contemporary world and the current challenges for the consolidation of a communitarian, humanist and plural university.
The Undergraduate Section Coordination Office is directly responsible for the CTCH Section Undergraduate Commission, which is an advisory and deliberative council made up of the Undergraduate Vice-Dean and all the CTCH Undergraduate Coordinators or their representatives, with assistance from the dean’s staff. It also promotes the Higher Education and Humanities Forum, organizing debates on the work of professors, student identities, and their relations with the knowledge built in the field of the humanities.
This coordinator’s office is also responsible for organizing the CTCH’s participation in events promoted by the university, such as the “Mostra-PUC” exhibit and the “PUC For a Day” initiative for prospective undergraduate students.
